Playing Patch 5.2 Replays on Patch 5.3

Every patch you need the League of Legends.exe to match the replay version.

At present you have to manually fix it in order for it to work, eventually the program will self download the old matching exe. It currently stores the version but it doesn't have the code to play it back.
To manually fix it, first of all you need previous patch exe which can be found here:

Navigate to your League of Legends install and find the following directory:
League of Legends\RADS\solutions\lol_game_client_sln\releases\0.0.1.76\deploy\



You can change the Game path from lol.launcher.exe to Any exe and point it directly to the old League of Legends executable without renaming, this is the suggested method

Note: The Version (0.0.1.76) will change with patches.

Rename "League of Legends.exe" to something such as "League of Legends-latestpatch53".exe
Move the old exe which you downloaded into the folder and rename it to "League of Legends.exe"

Go back to the replay software, hit play replay and it should work

If after this method a replay bugsplats then you need the full past client which I don't offer because its multiple GB big.

Remember after you're finished to swap back in the new executable OTHERWISE ISSUES WILL OCCUR WHEN YOU TRY PLAY ON THE LIVE SERVERS

      I know it's a bit late but for everyone: set your Explorer o not only show the "lol.launcher.exe" but any exe(bottom right)

    Hi! i have a problem. Every time i want to play a Replay from an older patch, i have a loading screen bug. The camps and the summoner icons are black and below every champ, it says: "Not connected" so the replay wont start. I already insert the 5.4 patch in the right folder.
    Is there a way to either fix the bug or skip the loading screen? I hope you can help me :)

    i got a bug when i want to play a replay from patch 5.5, 5.6 or 5.7. the area where the health bars should be is black. They are instead somewhere behind the summoner name. Please help me to get the health bar back at its place. I need the replays for a montage.

    I have a problem. Whenever i try to replay a league of legends its loading the game and after few seconds i got a bugsplat. The replays are from patch 5.12.League of Legends running at 5.13. I have done all thinks what you wrote. Pls Help me.

    Whenever i try to run a replay it crashes instantly saying "the rplay has failed to launch try setting the path directly to league of legends.exe" so i set it to league of legends.exe and it says league on the screen as if im going into a game and then it stays black for 5 minutes untill it crashes, i cant click the feedback button because thats broken too...someone please help - sp4mdr3w@gmail.com

    So im not sure how to even open up the program because it hasnt seemed to download. It made me download WinZip and MEGAsync but skin spotlight replays is non existant. Ive been trying for about 3 hours haha. No fun.
